Graging at the bars: Right then here we go.
I’m just going to say it: Fuck Obama.
Fuck Obama for not speaking up on behalf of the student protesters. Fuck Obama for not weighing in on Oakland. Fuck Obama for not being able to take five minutes to condemn police brutality. Fuck Obama for having the time to get his team…
I totally get where you’re coming from. I just don’t know if I can give this man my vote. I’m sick of cowardice masking as moderation when our country is literally in the shitter. There is no “moderate” response that could be appropriate to police brutality. There is no moderate response appropriate for our desperate need for financial regulation. Obama knows he’s got the liberals’ votes because we have nothing else. He doesn’t even have to address the concerns of his base.
Part of me is sick of it. Part of me want just let Romney have the country and take us all to hell so that people can see where the real problem is. So that this rhetoric of “both sides are just as bad” can end. The deadlock the Republican congress has intentionally enacted plus the impotence of the left has created a populace that has been purposefully alienated from its own government. I almost feel like we’d be further ahead to just let Romney take our country even further into corporatocracy and a surveillance/police state so there can be a violent backlash that would create a true left leader.
And then I could quit school and be a revolutionary.
